today was the kinda day..

It SHOULD have been a great morning. Everyone up early. Child well rested.. off to the park for a brunch picnic with Andrew's lil toy plane and lochies kite. The park is awesome, has a big shed with lots of cover.. and plane people are usually there on sundays. Nice open space.

We arrive and get looked down upon by the serious plane enthusiasts.. OK so our plane cost $50 not $6000 but.. be nice! and we are just as entitled to use the space. (apparently not they had some tude!)

So I set up to make brunch.. when Lochs becomes all too excited about the neighbouring cows.. and and the boys and I go for a walk.. visit with the cows.. come back. and snack on brunch.. the whole time lochie is saying.. can i fly daddy .. can we fly yet daddy.. time to fly? So off they go.. ready setty... crash.

broke a propeller.. no flying.

Hey what about that kite? umm wind stops... really.. it stopped. someone breathed out and we tried..LOL but to no avail. lochie went back to the cows.. moaning.. my flying day is over.. and it was.

thank goodness for cows.

We came home and I got set up to make rocky road. We hadn't made it with him before and frankly.. who doesnt like eating jellies.. marshmellows.. chocolate and nut.. it was going well lochs chopped the mallows.. and then.. we came to the jellies.. i just bought some lollies (natural confectionary company).. and thought we could slide them. Umm sure.. cept they were shaped like koalas. lil koalas.. sitting on the chopping board.

really... chop them? (kinda funny cause the ad here has a lil girl that says.. dont chop the dinosaur daddy).
So lochie looks at me .. sort of torn. he wants to chop it. he likes chopping.. but it is a koala!
So i get down really close and say... its ok buddy.. cut his head off... this is headless koala rocky road.
For the first time since that plane nose dived he smiled.. .. then he did an evil grin and sliced. LOL
(please i like koalas.. DO not email me..I give to koala charities.. there is no need... I just chopped a jelly! OK)

So we keep cutting, mixing and making.. Andrew comes in and Lochie says watch this daddy... you line em up.. and SLICE their NECKS!! Ok. I might have done something wrong somewhere..

We now have a huge bowl of headless koala rocky road.. and a savings account for therapy.. just not sure which of the three of us is going.
